Who would you most like to connect with?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 18, 2007:
I think I'd like to connect with extremely conservative Christians. I've had many conversations with these folks and began to see their hearts but I still couldn't quite understand much of what they have to say. I believe that heartfelt understanding is the first step to beginning a conversation that might ultimately change the hearts of all involved - so I'm going to keep working on that.

I was an extremely conservative Christian for most of my life. in fact I was so conservative I thought Jerry Falwell was a liberal. No joke. That's ntwhere I am today, but I have a real heart for people in that world.
Wow! Falwell IS pretty loosey-goosey. ;) Anyway - glad to hear other folks feel the same. It's way too easy to demonize a group that seems so hellbent on demonizing others. I prefer the harder path of trying to understand them.
